Invite Steve to Speak at Your Event

Steve Pavlina

I love public speaking and have been speaking professionally for many years, including delivering many 3-day workshops. If you'd like to invite me to speak at your event, please keep reading to see if we're a good match for working together.

Because of my extensive experience in the personal growth field, I'm able to speak on a wide variety of topics. The core concepts I usually integrate into my talks are the fundamental personal growth accelerators. I teach people how to achieve their goals faster. These growth accelerators are universal, so they can be applied to any type of situation. If you'd like more detail about these growth accelerators, you'll find them in my book Personal Development for Smart People.

I love speaking to open-minded, growth-oriented audiences, especially people in their 20s and 30s.

What I'm most passionate about these days is the subject of conscious relationships. I love helping men and women explore more direct, honest, and authentic ways of connecting with each other. I find this type of work very rewarding.

I prefer to speak for at least 90 minutes. Usually when I speak at other people's events, I go for 2-3 hours. This can be split across multiple days if needed. I'm open to doing shorter talks as well, but when time permits I like to include interactive exercises to get people out of their seats and moving around.

I don't have a set speaking fee. While I appreciate being paid when your budget makes that possible, money isn't my biggest concern. I earn enough income from my website that I can afford to do pro bono (no fee) talks as well. I look for good opportunities to make a positive contribution to people's lives. That's the most important factor in choosing which invitations to accept.

At a minimum I require that travel expenses and a place to stay are covered. I live in Las Vegas, and flights to and from Vegas tend to be less expensive than for many other U.S. cities because Vegas subsidizes part of the airport expenses.

I'm available to travel internationally.

My speaking style is very personable and conversational. I always show up well-prepared, but I don't talk to audiences like a used car salesman. I prefer to connect with people as fellow travelers on this shared human journey. I'm very comfortable with this style of communication, and I know that people appreciate it. If you're looking for someone very stiff and formal, that isn't me.

Please note that I don't participate in "pitch fests", where the objective is for each speaker to conclude their talk with a frenzied sales pitch in order to push people to buy products in the back of the room. I understand and respect the need to cover your costs, but if making money is your sole reason for putting on the event, I'm not your guy.

I also turn down invitations to speak at events where alcohol is being served, and I don't do fluffy after dinner speeches. Those situations aren't a good match for my material.

Helping You With Your Event

I may be able to help you promote your event if you'd like some assistance with that. I've been known to attract dozens of extra attendees when I speak at events that would be of interest to my readership. But please be aware that my online audience is fairly young (about 60% are under age 30), so I won't be able to help much in this area if your event is intended for a significantly older crowd.

I'm friends with dozens of other professional speakers, especially in the personal development field. So if you're looking for more speakers, I may be able to help put you in touch with other suitable candidates too.

If you'd like to give your attendees some extra take-home value, we can arrange for each of them to receive a copy of my book as well.

Samples

For some samples of my speaking voice, feel free to listen to any of the podcasts in the audio section.

For video samples, please visit my YouTube channel. There are some clips of me speaking at various conferences.

And here are some photos from one of my Las Vegas workshops. Many of these are from our Halloween workshop, which is why some people in those photos are in costume.
