I agree with william[insert rest of name here] Humans need to have different planets to live on. One for each religion. One for each code of conduct. Funny thing is, they might end up as the same societies any way. What would be fun to see is a planet filled with earth's inmates. Put all the serial killers on one planet and see how long they last. Heck, they might out last all of the other societies. I would be put on the exclusive planet of budda scientists. Well, that may not work out so well for the biology scientists, since the Buddist leader (can't spell his name) recommends a society that won't even hurt a fly. You have to have something to experiment on. I know, I know, the perfect planet would consist of carbon copies, of me, and people that I think are good enough. Trouble is, I probably wouldn't even be good enough for them. Lol. All this thinking makes me appreciate the american society we live in. It may have its flaws, like all democrates, and country music, yet, it is nice to live in a place with mostly christian/ fair laws. The only thing that pisses me off is that cloning got outlawed 'cause all the christians complaining that it was "playing god." That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. |

A better education system. THE END Problems with education: - If students don't want to go to school, they shouldn't have to -teachers shouldn't have to, or volunteer to, act like parents to students -memorizing the names of presidents and dates in history is stupid. There should be more courses geared toward teaching life skills. What date did retard start a war is a stupid thing for a kid on crack to care about. The kid on crack should be forced to go to classes like, "how to feel good about yourself without crack." There should be more self improvement classes. How the heck are kids supposed to care about silly things like litterature when they are too busy trying to figure out how to get laid? How to be cool. Why do they want to be cool? Because they haven't been taught that how cool you are in school doesn't matter in the long run. They haven't been taught about self worth. |

what's sad but true is that YOU CAN'T CONVIENCE PEOPLE OF ANYTHING IF THEY DON'T WANT TO BELIEVE IT. there are still people out there who think the moon landing was staged. People...people, people, people.People are silly. There are people who make up things to support that evolution does not exist. only to protect their reality. The only people who change the world are those who work on and discover new technologies.

I agree that a lot of stuff that kids are taught is irrelevant to them at that point in time. But then arguably so is a lot of self-improvement. Lots of kids just don't care about it. Yet in either case the information can be very useful if presented in a way they'll grasp. Being able to make effective decisions is something that could easily be learnt by studying history, and it's also an aspect of personal development.

For me we can't come up with a blueprint but we can get a sense of direction to move in. Which direction? Broadly speaking, ecologically and socially sustainable. This means things like: As many necessities as possible being locally produced Use of light technology Teaching by graduated exposure to complex situations (not schooling) |
