Already use a credit union. By the way if you're in the UK and worried about the safety of your money in a CU, note that savings in credit unions (and all banks actually) are covered up to £85,000 by the government should the company fail.

This is per company, so if you have £85k in a CU and another £85k in another CU or a bank, it's all covered, but if you have £170 in only one, you're only covered for the first £85k.

Just in case...

This is the twitter page, looks like they have over 50k supporters on board:

Asmoday, How many people would have to do this to make significant impact? Actually a better question is, what sort of impact do you think would be made if different numbers of people did this, 10k, 50k, 100k, 1m, etc?

I switched to a credit union about 8 years ago, as have many people in my town. Apart from anything else they are waaaaaay more personable to deal with.

I think some people will go back to even older ways of digging a hole in the backyard to stash their money. I've considered it myself.

In most crime families this already happens Only one problem however, the police already train specialized dogs to sniff out both money and cash no matter where it's hidden. If a large population of people started doing this around my neighborhood, I would buy a dog pretty damn soon too haha

While we are on this topic of large Bankers and finding ways to avoid the system, what does everybody know about the Strawman philosophy and copyrighting your name is CAPITALIZED letters so no banking institutions are allowed to formally blacklist you?

The strawman philosophy has a foundation upon the fact that nearly all the governments in the world trade on your capitalized name (for ex. JOHNNY DEPP) and earns money buy selling your future earnings capacity to pay taxes. By the time most people hit their 40s/50s, you technically have enough shadow earnings against your name to send your Bank a letter and decide you will no longer pay back your loan, as you have technically loaned your own money out from yourself.

Unfortunately most lawyers aren't trained in this field of knowledge, but secondly most lawyers gain their registration or BAR or whatever from their government as well. As much as I don't want to say this, they work for the government. If the government finds out a particular lawyer is advising people on how to copyright their strawman, then they usually get threatened with de-registration.

Here is a link Copyright your name
I have not gone through the process myself, mostly because this website does not offer such services for Australians.
