Just because some petty town bureaucrats threaten someone with jail time doesn't mean it will happen. I'd be very surprised if a judge allowed the city to do this.

Looks like that is actually being decided right now, for this community.

The city planners are talking about rewriting the ordinance to "clarify" its meaning.
