Lying in some way is already an admission of guilt.
If your daughter dies in a pool you feel guilty.

I don't know many people who's first reaction to their dead daughter is to not do anything, not call the police, morgue, or family..... but to go party instead.
Come on, you know more about psychology.
People can act in strange ways when they are under massive pressure and don't want to acknowledge the reality.
Memories get repressed. People go partying and drink alcohol to escape their thoughts.

Guilty or not, her callous behavior is indicative that she had some serious problems and doesn't deserve to be a member of society.
Callous behavior is response to massive stress doesn't mean that she would have acted wrongly beforehand.

Casey was bent over and hyperventilating for an hour over the news, not crying or grieving, but panicking. Still not proof, but very telling, to me. Why would that news have such an impact if she already knew her daughter was dead, from a swimming pool accident?
If she repressed the memory and it came back I think that reaction is plausible.

Do you really think the jury discussed all the evidence? How can anyone say there wasn't enough evidence if clearly all of it was never discussed by the jury?
The jurors heard the evidence during the trial. The don't have to discuss every item afterwards.

. I think these days people are living in CSI land where there is always perfect direct evidence, which is fantasyland.
At the same time a lot of innocent people get put into prison in the real world.

Really? So it's much more plausable that someone would cover up an accident by making it look like a murder? Duct tape, body put into bags, thrown into a swamp...

The jurors that have spoken to the press have said they thought Casey "wasn't innocent" but they didn't have enough evidence to convict. I don't think they understood their instructions. You don't need a cause of death to convict for murder... and circumstantial evidence can hold as much weight as direct evidence. For example you look outside in the morning and see snow on the ground. You didn't actually see it snow but you can still come to the conclusion that it snowed during the night. It's called common sense based on the total body of evidence.

Beyond a reasonable doubt doesn't mean everything has to be laid out before you like it is in a television show. There weren't any eye witnesses, or videotapes of the murder. There was also no DNA or fingerprints because the body was in a swamp under water decomposing for 6 months.

Ok, you can't convict her on her behavior alone, I get that. But all of the other evidence along with her bizarre behavior?
