So if any of you ever saw that big bodycheck that Boston Bruins captain Chara did on that Montreal Canadian some time ago (NHL hockey for those of you not in the hockey scene), you saw that it left the other player injured. However the NHL ruled it to be a legal hit and it was just too bad that the other player ended up hitting his head on the boards that way. Now the Montreal police wants to interview Chara as part of their 'investigation'. To me, it seem like a complete waste of time and taxpayers' money especially if the NHL already ruled it a legal hit. Any thoughts? |

I don't think anything will come of it either. But not because the NHL ruled it a legal hit. It's been heavily criticized for inconsistency this year and for good reason. I just think it's very hard to prove anything in a case like this. And I can't help but feel that politics are influencing this investigation somehow. |
