Default How To Make Biodegradable Plastic

I searched for "how to make biodegradable plastic" just now seeing as I know it's made out of starch and I thought you could probably make it in a kitchen. I had the idea of searching for it because I thought that when I make my restaurant, I could make my own ecologically sound boxes Funky, huh?

Here you go:

Btw, this is "world affairs" because of the ecological bit. I hope this is a good place for the thread, mods?

Not sure about spain, but here in the states you can get compostable plastic containers straws etc.. down side with the straws is that they tend to crack in half making it rather difficult to use them.. give it time.. they may figure it out.. hope it goes well with the restaurant..

Hi, I'm not sure how you make it but I know biodegrable plastic is made from plant starch (cornstarch without petroleum-based).

If you want to purchase eco-friendly containers for your restaurant try searching for "natural fibre containers" in your city. Natural fibre containers are made from natural agricultural byproducts (sugarcane, or wheat-based), biodegradable and compostable to become an organic fertilizer.
They are also recyclable in a paper stream process.
