Hi Guy's I generally tend not to get drawn Into world politics / events In a way but It’s quite hard to Ignore It totally nowadays . Even If you don’t watch / hear the news you are still experiencing the ripples of such effects / events . Most countries are In such massive debt that It’s the people that suffer for It . I certainly have noticed the rise In costs for almost everything I am surprised that we are not as yet taxed on the amount of air we breathe . Many countries are rebelling as we know for their own and similar reasons . I know many that are finding that they don’t seem to benefit from working at all . Some can’t afford the fuel costs to come Into work at the weekends to earn some extra cash . It’s a crazy situation Isn’t It . Those that haven’t the money to buy things either don’t buy or will get further Into debt In order to buy . So It may sound a silly question but why doesn’t every country agree to start over? We know we can print more money, the u.k. bailed out the banks, why doesn’t every country print enough money to clear their debts and start again with a clean slate . Or do you think that certain governments don’t want a level playing field across the board? If things carry on the way that they are I can only see further struggles as a result . Do the world leaders have the power to start again? Is It In their best Interest to do so even If they could ? Is the world mean't to be the way It Is? Will the sufferings prompt more people to look within for happiness Instead of what's of the material world? Last edited by NICE; 03-17-2011 at 09:25 AM. |

Printing money (inflation) brings down the value of the currency. If every country just printed all the money they needed then their currency would drop in value and goods and services would cost more, the result of inflation. It might work if price caps were imposed on everything, and every country printed the same amount percentage wise. Then costs wouldn't go up because of it, and the values of the currencies wouldn't change compared to other currencies because the supply would be equally increased in every country. i.e., the Euro against the U.S. dollar EUR/USD would remain the same, as would all other currency pairs in the forex market. The problem with this situation is that EVERY country in the world would have to go along with it and I highly doubt that would ever happen. The root of the problem is the way we create money out of thin air, so even the above solution wouldn't be the best answer. I'll be honest and say that I actually have no idea what to do. LOL I do think that what we need is to get away from the system where governments borrow money from central banks. They say that the government controls the central bank but I highly doubt that. Why would someone charge themselves interest? That makes no sense. If the government were really in control of the central bank then we wouldn't have Ron Paul and his supporters trying to audit the federal reserve. If the government had control over the federal reserve then it would be transparent and no legislation would be needed to audit it. That's like me auditing myself, or asking myself permission to look through my own wallet and bank statements. LOL It makes no sense. I'm no economist but I do think that we need a different system for money. We need to wipe the slate clean and start fresh. If you think of the human race as a whole, single entity, we are incredibly masochistic. We love creating systems that fail and create all kinds of headaches and problems, and we relish in self-inflicted harm that we do. We truly are crazy. |

That's probably what It will take though . Would every country want another country to be almost equal to them? Will the so called super powers be less super ha haha As we know If a country Is In debt they are more likely to be controlled by the people / banks / organizations that they owe the monies too . Does certain governing bodies therefore want a debt free society ? | |
