Angels were created to assist us in our journey here, albeit in a usually unseen secretive, detached and remote role. They were intended to help us, but not interfere with our experiences here. They were to be our benevolent protectors.

However, those humans who may manage to ascend, will be superior to these Angels when they do so. This caused quite a bit of jealousy and is part of what caused the rebellion where about a third of the Angels forsook their intended purposes and become malevolent toward mankind. They are eternal immortal beings who can never die and there is much for us to fear from this third. Deception and guiding us to trust them while they lead us to our own destruction is what they get off on the most.

If I had the power, I would slay them all of this bad and most wicket lot. But alas, I am but a mere weak and fallible mortal at this point. God forbid that I am ever granted ascension and given reign and a free hand over them!
