• There are more than 26 million porn sites today. That mean around 12% of entire internet is just porn.
• Online porn industry alone makes over $3,000 per second.
• 70% of men aged 18-24 are frequent to porn sites,
• There are 40 million regular consumers of online porn in America.
• Internet porn industry itself makes $4.9 billion an year worldwide, 50% accounts just to USA.
• 8% of all emails sent are pornographic. That means 2.5 billion emails per day.
• 1 in 4 search queries is about porn, that’s 25%. That’s 68 million a day.
• More than a third of all downloads are porn. 35% of all internet downloads are pornographic.
• People get more porn than they want. 34% of internet users have experienced unwanted exposure to porn either through pop-up ads, misdirected links or emails.
• There are 116,000 searches for child pornography every day.(tiny part of whole, but still terrifying amount)
• The average age at which a child first sees porn online is 11.
• 1 in 5 men watch porn AT WORK. 20% of porn watchers admit to watching porn online at work.
• 1,800,000,000 pornographic websites that are easily accessed by underage children

The porn industry loves religion. Maybe not openly but shaming people into thinking sex is the devil drives people in droves to pornography.

Porn and sexual chat rooms are not helpful for the spiritual path, yet its availability shows, mostly men I guess, how deep rooted our sexual desires are, as well as all the psychological connections we have with it. I think the bar is beining raised on us with every generation. More availbability just implies that sooner or later we have to find the core in us that finds happiness without drugs, porn and other addictions. This makes us a lot more psychologically developed than during the times when these choices were not available to us.
