Default Former Illuminati/"Family" sex cult member spills the beans on an internet forum

I was born into a sex cult. AMA. : IAmA

Fascinating stuff. I know we've talked about "The Family" before on this forum.

Short excerpt from the source:

Quote:
I was born in the mid 80s into the Children of God (now known as The Family International). XFamily.org has a lot of information about the group and is a good journey down the rabbit hole. This group was fairly famous in its early days (for flirty fishing -NSFW-, among other things) and triggered the first anticult group. The cult was most recently in the news again due to a murder-suicide by the leader's son.

I've read about this cult before and have met a member of the cult and I am pretty sure they have absolutely nothing to do with the illuminati.

Oh what am I saying, everything has to do with the illuminati

I was about to say, the "family" is not illuminati. The illuminati is supposed to be way more expansive and powerful than they are. It's more like the family is what the illuminati would be if it actually existed.

This isn't the same "The Family" I was talking about, yossarian. I was talking about the C-Street The Family., also known as The Fellowship.

What do you mean if it actually existed? The Bavarian Illuminati did exist and probably still does. The Rosicrucians consider their higher eschelons Illuminated. The Scottish Rite of Freemasonry quietly calls themselves Illuminati. The Illuminati has become so embellished by myth that it's hard to tell the difference between fact and fiction though.

I think it's space aliens. Definitely space aliens.

There are a lot of groups calling themselves "The Family" as well as "The Illuminati"

For instance svali ( http://www.mindcontrolforums.com/svali_speaks.htm ) says that her group called themselves BOTH the family AND the illuminati

So obviously we need more than just names to track these groups. It is also possible that there is overlap or interconnectedness between them, with each particular group having a different flavour.

What do most people think of when they hear the word Illuminati? Maybe I'm off, but I think conspiracy theory. I think mind-control. I think world domination.

Now, I didn't know there might still be factions of the Illuminati in existence. Last I heard they were a secret society from long ago that was wiped out and hasn't existed since, but if what you say is true then that information is incomplete at best. I guess that Illuminati is what the Illuminati would look like if it actually existed.

When I hear Illuminati I think Adam Weishaupt, Discordianism, Robert Anton Wilson's psychedelic novels/avant garde philosophy, transdimensional reptilians who want to feast on my soul (if I have one), Ayn Rand, shadow governments, creative storytellers claiming the Illuminati are really a band of integalactic space pirates posing as Clear Channel news anchors, Atlanteans/Lemurians, secret Nazi bases under Antarctica, cell phone towers rigged with ELF broadcasters designed to triangulate on select persons and torment their minds, conspiracies, conspiracies and conspiracies. The line between reality and fiction becomes heavily blurred once you really start trying to find out who the Illuminati really are. That's sort of the point, I suppose. All roads lead to Illumination.
