Default Ron Paul and Federal Reserve Audit

Dear All

I live in the UK but if I was in the USA I would be promoting this as enthusiastically as possible.

Ron Paul wants to audit the Federal Reserve; for those who know about the scam that is the FR you want to support this.

Ron Paul’s Bill To Audit The Federal Reserve Now Has 109 Co-Sponsors | Ron Paul .com

I agree. Everyone should support this bill.
Even if you don't think the Federal Reserve is doing a poor job managing our nation's money supply, there is still no reason why it should not be audited. The best thing we can do is contact our representatives and get them to join the cosponsoring of the bill.

So far there are at least 109 cosponsors, which is over 25% of the House.

I'm not from the US as well, but I am very interested in this topic (where's money coming from, who's got control over it etc), too and I think it would be a HUGE step forward if this audit of the FED will be allowed. It could change a lot, and not only in the US.

Please, people of the US, call up your reps and get them to support this!

Can anyone tell me what percentage is needed to make the audit actually happen?

You are so correct about this. Since the American Dollar is the reserve currency throughout the world the Federal Reserve actually has far longer reach than purely America. The audit is purely the first step; but I see it as getting the momentum up.

The amount of people that I am talking to in the UK who already know about the Federal Reserve (and the rest) is incredible and what's very encouraging it's from the younger generations as well.

I watch with interest on this one; anyone else have any views on the FR?

Surely the next step is talking about getting back to the Gold Standard- seems the only way to avoid the 'paper money' issue that has collapsed empires in the past; and countries in the present.

The percentage isn't a direct measure of what is needed to make it happen.
It's about congressman publically saying: Yes, I think it's a good idea and I therefore support the bill.
If a congressman doesn't really care about whether or not the bill passes he will probably vote the way one of his fellow congressman who actually cares about the bill votes as not every congressman has a real personal opinion on every bill.
A congressman who will strongly feel that the bill is important will also influence some of his fellow congressman.

At the moment the bill needs to have a majority at the House Committee on Financial Services who vote "Yes".

I think this is long overdue, but idiot politicians won't let it happen due to worshipping at the altar of Barack Obama and the Fed.

This is an admirable gesture, but I seriously doubt it will happen. While we wait, let's just Starve the Beasts - Start the Revolution:
"It is apparent now there remains only one way for ordinary Americans who love their country and want at least some of what's good about it to be preserved for future generations: We must kill the FIRE Economy beasts (FIRE: Finance, Insurance and Real Estate).

Recommended method of choice: Starvation - suitably slow and painful.

We're the victims in a hostage situation, if you didn't know, held captive and mesmerized by the soft, flat-panel-TV glow of the FIRE Economy, which depends on our sheep-like conformity and Stockholm-syndrome-like admiration of our captors, but it's NOT too late to regain our senses, if only for the benefit of our children and grandchildren. Even if it is only wildly exaggerated - and it isn't - that the Systemically Important Too Big To Fail (SITBTF) institutions completely have captured our flag, our capital, our political parties, our "democracy" and our very lives, we as regular, hard-working, country-loving J6Ps have only this one remedy remaining, as all others woefully have failed.

We've tried writing letters to Congress, but they fell on deaf ears attached to bodies sated with the addictive, lobbyist-supplied narcotics of perks and favors and clothed with garments filled with finance-industry campaign contributions.

We have only one option remaining to fix this ourselves, to starve the beasts, and it is, simply:
Stop Doing Business With Them."

I'm done some of the things recommended, like banking with a local credit union and using debit cards or cash for most purchases.
