Of course the fact that people makes such a fuzz about the fact that a woman might become vice-president shows that it is already sexist. Also that people might vote for McCain with one of the primary reasons being that Palin is a woman. And saying that the attacks on Palin are subtly sexist just seems like guesswork. The candidate has little experience for someone that might get promoted to president, surely. | |

Isn't it because one pair represents what you identify with? Let's not confuse carefully packaged images with the truth. We did that recently with Bush. We mistook a confident and resolute man for a responsible leader. He was so affable to so many, that these voters forgot to look at the real man. Don't forget that master marketers/handlers are delivering carefully crafted images in a way that presses our internal buttons. Think about these individuals' non-candidate younger selves. Who was naturally drawn to higher education and public service? Who was combative and couldn't get along with peers and adults? Who was drawn to the spotlight for the sake of the spotlight? Vote for competence and intelligence. We are in serious times and your vote deserves lengthy consideration. Take the time to examine if you are reacting like a consumer to a well done ad campaign, or are thinking for yourself. Check out the womenspeakoutonpalin blog for thoughtful video discussion.

Palin says that there is no carbon free energy. In Nepal, they already are selling low tech electric cars that work fine. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programme...nt/2932152.stm Just plug to the outlet.
