| Heres the way I look at it... beer is still more expensive than gas, no one is complaining about the high cost of beer now are they? They still drink as much as they want to and mess up their lives. I depend on a lot of fossil fuels as a small scale farmer and I just pay the price and deal with it. People need to understand also that when compared to prices in the 80s we are pretty consistent with those prices(adjusted for inflation) Maybe a tad higher now. Sure they will go up...So what? The key is as always to be better at saving money.Personal growth encompasses monetary effectiveness.. My $.04 (adjusted for inflation)

In the news all we hear about is the bad part of this, but I think it will be good for us in the end. It's exactly what a lot of people need to shake them up and make them consider what's really important to them.

There is no reason (at least you don't provide one) to believe in a sharp decrease in supply in the US.

| It should have come years ago ( The nuke plants and oil drilling ) then we wouldn't have the spike of oil price and price of consumer goods all over the world. The world economy ( or more precisely the dollar economy ) runs on oil. In order of amount consumed in 2006 in thousand bbl/d Petroleum consumption rate - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (103bbl/day) 1 United States 20,588 2 China 7,274 3 Japan 5,222
