| First, I think you're referring to: Zeitgeist - The Movie zeitgeist.com had nothing relating to this subject and since the movie is about global conspiracies I have to assume that that's what you meant. Second, I think it's little more than conjecture coupled with details of questionable events that are blown out of proportion. The movie brings some real issues to light; most material of this kind does. The problem is that meaning is found where there is none, and there's too much crap to sort through in order to find the few kernels of truth. It comes across as an emotional appeal to the disillusioned and disaffected. Remember that the people pushing conspiracy theories have agendas of their own. As it says on a t-shirt I so badly want to own, "9/11 was sketchy but come on"

| The movie is more useful if you look at the complexity of control in it and the hiding of truth. And how that relates to your own psyche and the way the mind has set up its version of reality. Vast systems of religion, government, banking, and education have been created to do one thing, control you. To make you believe you're not the creator of all your experience, but some world bankers are. The movie Zeitgeist is an indicator that consciousness has finally caught on to it's game of self-denial, and is taking steps to reveal that truth. If the contents of the movie is freaking you out, I recommend reading Busting Loose from the Money Game. It's not really a book about money, but a way of looking at our reality that takes the focus off the unreal and puts it on what is real.

| I wasn't able to watch the movie but as you said its about world domination. I'd like to give my imput on this subject.... Nowadays, its easier to control the masses through money than through force. Also, in life, its easier and more affective to put your efforts towards a goal that is more efficient and in someway beneficial for mankind. Maybe its possible that a one world gov't would be more efficient than what we have today. Just like you, I think its a shame that we'll loose races, we'll loose languages and country identity but in that IS where we are headed eventually. Think of all the races and languages we must have lost over the past several thousands of years. We've even lost entire genres of humanoids such as the neanderthal. It is possible that if mankind survives we'll evolve into one race of highly mechanical and computer chipped up minds. Think of our existance as an ant farm. Five thousand years ago we had tens of thousands of ant farms but slowly we've dwindled down to just 195 or so ant farms (countries). If the past is any indication of the future, then we'll continue to dwindle down the number of ant farms on earth until eventually there is one. If you look at how an ant society works you'd see that there is a harmony when united but war and inefficiencies when divided. I am not saying that I prefer this over freedom but only that it is slowly happening to us whether we like it or not. There may come a day when uniting to defeat an alien planet may be necessary. Imagine if we are still here in five thousand years how advanced we'd be. Imagine if we start space travelling and we discovered a distant planet that was extremely intelligent but they were very agressive just as we are. We'd be so afraid that our world would unite towards developing a common defense. I think that if you really look at mankind, look at our history and see where we're going it is towards a one world gov't. In life over the long haul there is a FORCE that somehow guides development. Dictators and gov'ts come and go but its all towards a progession of sorts. As time marches on, we are always moving towards a new way of life that is very different than the past. Nothing is constant. Even if there are conspiracies out there they pale in comparison to the FORCE of life that by its very nature will determine our fate. Even if there were no conspirators there will be new ones bourne that will harness this life FORCE and propel us towards our destiny. No man can typically alter our destiny. They simply speed up or delay the inevitable. Last edited by Still Growing : 06-18-2008 at 03:13 PM. |

| It's actually a process of evolution and simple science. The ease from people and communities collaborating creates less friction. If you believe in evolution you'll know that we came from single cells that evolved into simple organisms, complex organisms, and eventually into insects, birds, mammals, and the most highly evolved mammal the human. It's only naturally that man (life) will continue to gravitate towards oneness. |

| World domination is natural. Territorial animals such as humans want to control the most land, and controlling it's inhabitants is just a requirement. Globalisation is in effect colonising. It's in our nature. Mating towards a 1 race kind however, the caramel human, is naturally a part of evolution ... when single-cell organisms First combined (sex) ... they were left better off. When two different things mate (of the same species I hope) ... they are usually much stronger. This is why we are so attracted to foreign woman. I am Fijian Indian - but I love European girls. The problem is not in trying to control the world, this is only natural... but starting so many wars and killing innocent lives, in some cases killing your own to delude your people into auspices for their warring purposes is what gets me. |

| I think the movie is right about many things and thats because its not the only source that says that kind of things, its a very serious documental made with various studies, it makes all the pieces fit together. My experience was that i allready knew that governments are made by people who dont care at all about people they rule, and that they basically have the power to do whatever they want, democracy doesnt exist at all its just an illusion, we have no idea about the people who are in power, so this movie confirmed many things i knew, introduced many new things i didnt know, and made everything fit together. Besides i think that the bible also tells us about a world government, and since i believe in what it says, i think the movie speaks about the details on how will it come.

| I haven't seen Zeitgeist yet so i can't really say anything definite about it. What i can say is that Zeitgeist is rated 8.8 in IMDB and Alex Jone's Endgame is rated 7.1. Not much of a difference. Not Alex's Endgame was one of the most crap-loaded conspiracy movies i've ever seen, and most people who watch it think that that's smart and an "eye-opener". As if they have a mind of their own.... they wouldn't open their eyes even if the "truth" bit them in their noses. As with Endgame, i must assume that Zeitgeist is also overrated and since it received a bit better reviews it must be a bit better than Endgame. Either it's fallacies are more complex and well made or it does have some credit and shows some truth after all. I would love if the former were truth but as with most of conspiracy movies i must take a step back.

| As for what i believe to be the case in our reality, i think that there are the groups of population filled with money (like most multimillionaires or billionaires) and the politicians can't, for most of the time, change the rules of the game when they're elected because these rich groups exert so much pressure on them. Politicians can't make a law that will screw some industries because there are powerful people there that just do too much pressure and politicians can't beat it. But it's just natural and has always happened; people with power/money don't want to give that up and it's natural that they will fight with whatever means necessary to keep it. It has always been so and it will always be as long as we remain human. As for a one world government i highly doubt about it. The only way such thing could happen is if we got invaded by aliens and needed to unite, or if a major disaster struck us that dizimated most of the population. Apart from these two scenarios i don't see how a world government could emerge out of nothing.

| JFKDemocrat & Still Growing, I never thought of it that way before but I think you are probably right. A world government is probably inevitable. It's not necessarily inevitable that the jerks who are currently running the show will be Masters of the Universe, but it does seem that larger and larger empires keep forming. Okay, so then they collapse... but a new organization arises even bigger and stronger then before. And with the amount of connectedness between people due to technological advances then it will probably speed the creation of a global empire. Right now, I think the problem is less with individual people than corporations. I mean, "Hey, let's create an entity with all the rights of a person but we'll make it immortal and give it the sole directive of accumulating wealth." Sound like a good idea? And so we all end up working for them and also depending on them for everything we need for survival but they don't really treat us people very nicely (for the most part). It's like the new caste system, with people ending up on the bottom.

| I would like to start an online website where I can recruit people of the revolution. Eventually the whole world will be controlled by a handful of men. Once this level of control is achieved, they will cease to spend money on creating this illusion of freedom for us. Let me repeat, because they have supreme power, they will stop spending energy creating the illusion of freedom for us AND we will be slaves (not that we aren't at the moment). So if we act now, we can overthrow this autocracy and work towards a utopia. Of course while achieving this utopia we will need to eliminate insecurity within ourselves, or the next batch of decision makers will breed just as much greed as we see in our society. Upotia begins with peace of mind. Say Yay or Nay.

| Frankly, I would like to see a solution that doesn't require a violent uprising. Okay, so it has never been done before. Are we not more creative than past generations? Is more violence really the best idea anyone can come up with? They are expecting violence. Why else are they locking down this control grid with wiretaps (and GPS locators) on every phone and cameras on every street corner? But they cannot really want violence. No matter what happens, somebody will have to rule. In the event of a revolution, either the people will lose and then the elite will feel completely justified in taking away any illusions of freedom we have left or the people will topple the elite and then what? Probably a military coup, who else would have the power to stop a mob of angry people other than the military? What guarantees that this will lead to a better government?

| For some reason the Zeitgeist movies seem to strike a core with a lot of people (this is the fifth or sixt thread that someone made out it on this forum, not counting mentioning the video in threads about other stuff). I don't think that it's particulary accurate.
