Here are the supporting documents for the articles: Congressman Dennis Kucinich - Supporting Documents for Impeachment. Here is a letter to Dick Cheney [pdf] about the resolution, and a brief summary of the impeachment process. I suppose Kucinich has been waiting for the Democratic primary to be over to begin this process. |

The media silence on this is DEAFENING. How is it, in a time of 24 hour cable news stations, where programming will be interrupted for a car chase in LA, not ONE of the news networks is reporting on the impeachment? The internet is the honest persons medium; that's why you're here (and posting what you are, heh). By the way, for people interested in people slipping past the political censors in plain sight of mass-viewers, watch Boston Legal. Almost every episode they make some sort of really good statement. After watching, I can't help but think, "this show could quite possibly make a difference." Video games often have the same subliminal impact, imparting quasi-values onto those who are subjected for long enough to the statements a game makes. (Most games make godawful statements; some make statements so good they should probably be available for play at schools.) | |

What real purpose does impeachment serve at this point? If Congress and the Senate both voted for impeachment, Cheney would present an even more troubling scenario. They should just draft and vote on a strongly worded censure of the President, in fact the American people should demand that this history be recorded, before it becomes even more tainted by manipulation. - Bush fiddled while America burned |

Speaker Pelosi and Leader Reid have both said that impeachment is "off the table", so its not going to happen anyway. This kind of 'leadership' is exactly why Congress's approval rating is lower than the Presidents. Scott McClellan is correct in his assertion that Washington is in a perpetual state of campaigning for the next election. This government has become corrupt and/or incompetent, significant changes are needed before its too late. |
