| Out of all the alternative energies, nuclear is the one that is clean, viable, economic, and safe (yes, safe.) And we hardly hear anything about it. Nobody wants the nuclear waste in their back yard - which is understandable - but on a logical level I don't think it could be worse than pumping thousands of tons of coal and oil smoke into the air that we breathe. |

| I was reading recently about new fourth generation nuclear power plants that use pebble-bed technology to provide an almost infinite amount of power safely and cleanly. The science behind it was really very simple and totally fail-safe. I can't believe the media don't make more of these kinds of things. I found it fascinating and very optimistic. This kind of nuclear power in the way to go. |
