Lightbulb BREAKING NEWS: Man grows finger back using...pixie dust.

BBC NEWS | Health | The man who grew back his finger tip

Incredible! Truly incredible...

And I have a hard time believing it. Is this a hoax or what?

You mean pig dust..

Here's an associated TED talk about regenerative medicine.

Very cool.

Now if they could do that with a whole finger, or a limb, I'd be reeaally impressed.

Well he's either a hoax, or he has a genetic mutation because I honestly don't think we have developed regenerative medicine just yet. But maybe i'm wrong...then again I am probably right.

You should look at the TED talk.
It explains who the stuff works and that the US pays 0$ to fund regenerative medicine strategically while Japan pay 3 billion $.

Claiming that this is somehow BREAKING NEWS is strange for something that was invented years ago (the TED talk about it is from Feb 2006).

It was only a finger tip. Children have been known to regrow fingertips up until age 10 or so.

Here's a new article about the same stuff: Salamander-inspired therapy may aid injured vets - CNN.com

This will be interesting to follow because it looks like they're trying to regrow a whole finger.
