Interesting example of how a clever voice-over can influence how you perceive video footage. I'm not saying that he wasn't faking, just that with the voice-over present I can't perceive it as anything else... without, I'm not so sure.

I did that... but only after having heard the voice over, so I was not entirely without prejudice.

It's not as crazy as you make it sound. The plane could have been sabotaged or overrun with black ops. It doesn't mean the pilot killed himself and his passengers.
