It is mysteriously quiet isn't it. I think you just hit the nail on the head. Image rules, or maybe interest rates. The US has appointed itself as the bastion of truth. I'm curious, why don't you know how to look it up yourself? I don't care, myself, since I'm not interested in spreading my attention around like spilt milk.

But such bills are a matter of public record. You don't even need to submit a FOIA request to know exactly who voted how. Nor do you need to be an American citizen.

It may be true that many Americans do not follow everything that happens in our political system. However, it does not amount to apathy. I am well aware that our president, in fact our entire political system, is deeply flawed. You can look to my post here to see that I am just as flabergasted at some of the things that happen as the next guy.

However, the way our system is set up prevents quick change. Even when the majority votes for a person, it's not any guarantee they'll get elected. I have no idea how Bush got into office the first time, let alone the second. I cannot off the top of my head agree with one thing he's done. I am sure there is some gem amongst the crap, but I can't recall one now.

Tasaio, the leader of a country, supposedly an example to all, especially kids, that is a conniving, wheedling liar? Oh yeh, he was raised in such a naive wonderfull, folksy, all American fashion, that he didn't even know he was having sex? 'Golleee geee, folks, out heyre, we dont even caaall thayt sex, do we momy. I'm just a good clean country bo' that was tricked.' He lied his snivelling guts out. A person that was happy to let a young woman wear it for his want of some sex, while he is supposedly taking care of world affairs? Absolutely no respect for anyone. She made mistakes, but there is no way I'll accept that the guy was so dumb, that he couldn't see the whole thing coming. He is the one in power, the president, and he manipulated the whole thing. To get what he wanted, all the way. Then snivelled and grovelled and whined and wheedled, whilst the young woman bore the brunt, alone, and was thrown to the starry eyed public. He and his publicity machine knew full well what she was in for from his rabid, blinded devotees.

If he had the fibre and decency to own up and wear it, at least that would be an example of honesty, and rate some respect, empathy and understanding. So I rate him with Bush. Wheedling, conniving gimps hiding behind everyone else, acting good and strong and brave. A little bit different to the movies, you know, Harrison, a fightin' an wrasslin' baddies, savin' damsels and the world, for the good ol' USA. Buy it if you like.

My tone is this, The US, like Australia was built on major terrorism against the Indigenous occupants of the land, who were butchered and had their homes stolen. Then Africans were butchered and used as slaves to build it. You can fluff it out, primp it up, go for the lies of the 'Boys Own Annual' version...brave and true frontiersmen and their women folk adorers striving out and taming uncharted territories, but its crap.

To end terrorism, why don't the US and here, who by our own understanding of our own laws and beliefs are happily in reciept of stolen property, face the reality of the situation dished out and perpetuated to Indigenous peoples, and address it whole heartedly, truthfully and honestly. That would be an example to the world of how to end terrorism. How to be good and honest and heal and live together in respect and harmony. Not this, the worlds most successful terrorists squealing and screeching about all the other horrible, despicable terrorists.

Imagine right now, walking out your front door, suddenly watching strangers march in, pick your kids up by the feet, smash their heads against the wall, spread eagle your wife and grandmother, and hump them for days, till they were split apart, before clubbing their skulls in, and then flogging and pummeling you, because your skin and skull is thicker than an animals, to force you to clean it up, and then serve them. And when you retaliate, it is the action of godless vermin, to be dealt with like rats. And when you crumble in depression, you are a good for nothing, useless savage. And that went on and on and on. Then years later, whilst you are allowed to live there in the scraps of town, being told to be thankfull and get over it, whilst you watch an endless procession of celebration of, we took your home and butchered your family day.

Oh, thats right it wasn't like that, their homes were taken so nicely and wholesomely. And now they've got it made, and are free to join the fight against terrorism.

The foundation is a swamp, so what ever comes after it will sink. Start again, build a solid, deluxe foundation, and the rest is supported, just like individual personal development. But it requires honestly embracing the present situation and choosing change, not denial and lies.
