Default Last name on Myspace??

I'm gonna make a myspace for my business ventures. Problem is, I would wanna put up videos I worked on, with my name in the credits, so it'd be really obvious. My only problem is that it's public, and I do want everyone to see the videos, but I have a problem with it being so easy to find my last name.

I know the ISP/government can already track that down so I'm not worried about them, but I just want some privacy.

What do you think about this?

Don't use MySpace if you are worried about privacy.

I know a number of people that can crack MySpace accounts in a matter of seconds; plus there is the general idea that you are sitting there on a website that has terrible programming practices, terrible security practices and is used by millions of people that think they are isolated to just their own little squad of friends.

Very wrong. Use myspace if you WANT loads of public access - but do not use it if you are concerned about privacy.

Well I already have a Myspace but it's more personal, I added only people I know.

I'm trying to use it to be more public you know. I'll still only add people I have a connection with, but still, I want anyone to be able to see it, for possible clients maybe.

Cracking myspace in seconds? Wow... I'd like to see that. Phishing is one thing, but how do you crack it?

Maybe FaceBook would suite your requirements?

I don't know how you would crack it, but someone did mine and replaced my pac man game with a video of a naked butt shaking with a link to a video site. So I just deleated my MySpace.

Business ventures? MySpace? Not if you want to be taken seriously...

What do you want to do with this website? Promote a business, or start networking to get contacts? If it's the former, you're far better off with a branded website, including a registered domain. If it's the latter, LinkedIn would be better than either MySpace or FaceBook because professional networking is what it was created for.

It's for networking, and the most people I'm getting at is on Myspace. I think I just won't use my last name anymore.
