| I can't speak for all search engines but Google uses software called spiderbots to update their website database every once in a while so eventually their record of your site will be updated automatically. You can submit your url directly to Google but it's not guaranteed that it will speed things up. Hope this helped! Last edited by SKiernan : 08-12-2007 at 10:14 PM. |

| Once you submit it to Google, you can redo your site as many times as you want, the spiders will just return to your site and find that it has new content and they will update their database. This is good because Google likes websites that change a lot and get updated frequently. If you ignore the site and never make any changes, the spiders will come back a few times to see that nothing has changed; eventually, they will stop coming all together and you will have to rebuild and resubmit your site. They store the domain name, so as long as you own the domain, it will be submitted. |

| I just ran a check on vettechjess.com for Google and Yahoo, it is not listed in either one so it looks like you need to start from scratch. You may want to work on a little optimization before you start, especially on your home page. I would recommend using Sitemaps and Robots.txt to get it rolling and setup. All of the major search engines have agreed to use the sitemap protocol to help us have one tool for Website Submissions. Here is a link to explain the sitemap situation with Google, MS & Yahoo -> Google Press Center: Press Release |

| I would recommend Free Web Submission: Free Search Engine Submission and Site Promotion. It will submit your site to 20 search engines including google for you.

| If people are linking to your site, then the spiders will find it by themselves. If not, it doesn't matter how many times you re-submit; search engines don't care for sites with no inbound links, it is a signal of low quality.

| Nope, no need to submit. The spiders will come and find you. ...man, that sounds sinister.

| Create an XML sitemap and submit that to Google and Yahoo. Both engines have webmaster areas where you can login and check the status on them paying your site a visit - should be approx. 1-2 weeks. You can create the XML sitemap using a generator, just type XML sitemap into Google and you'll find a few free ones. Links don't hurt either for boosting your PageRank, I would recommend buying a few targeted ones through Text Link Ads if you have the budget. Best of luck
