Default Linux on the ultra-powerful PS3 -- instead of a new PC

Could Ubuntu on a PS3 do everything it could on a PC?

That is:

- connect to the home network
- connect to a printer
- run PC games through wine/Cedega
- run other OSes like Vista

Instead of spending $700 on a mid-range PC, should I spend $500 on the ultra-powered PS3?

Doku is on a distinguished road
Default

Don't bother. While the CPU is killer, there is not enough RAM in the system to really make it a worthwhile computer.
