Default how can I combine four photos into one photo?

hey guys,

I plan to make some motivational photos of things I want to create and attract into my life.

I really want to be able to combine four separate photos into one standard size photo and I would like to learn how to this.

here's an example of a square version of what I want to do;

http://www.google.com/help/hc/images..._19539d_en.gif

Could someone who knows please explain the steps to do something like this but so that it's a standard photo size?

thanks in advance for any help

If you have a graphics tool like Photoshop, Fireworks, Paintshop, or GIMP, you can open a blank canvas (any size you want) and just import each photo in to that and resize each one as a separate object or layer to fit inside the canvas.
Usually (File -> Import). There are also rulers or measurement functions on most graphic programs that will allow you to position them accurately.

For example, if I wanted to put Steve's head on a Giraffe:

Open Giraffe
Open/Import Steve
Cut out Steve's head and drag it on top of Giraffe
Click "Save"
Walla!

Is that what you were talking about?

1. open them all in photoshop.
2. create a new document.
3. make it the size you want, probably in inches
4. crop/resize the pics to the size you want them in the final image
5. copy/paste them all in the image
6. do whatever final editing needs done to make it look good

I suggest learning about layers in your favorite picture editing program, once you got that down you can do so much with digital pictures...

And it's not exactly hard

try googling "photoshop tips". or "Photoshop tutorials" there are also some very useful things in photoshop help. I don't have much experience with other programs, but i love photoshop. it seems like the more i learn about it i realize that i'll never figure out everything i can do with it
