I've been working on setting up a company refitting old computers and was trying to think of the best way to print leaflets when I get my new printer (A Cannon Pixma ip4300) in the distant future. The reviewers managed to get about 150 sheets before the ink in the cartridges began to run out which is well and good for photo printing but not good for leaflets as a new set of cartridges costs just short of a new printer (Cartridges 5x£10.99 = £54.95 New printer £55.00). I had given up hope when I was looking around bigpockets.co.uk and found a section called "Continuous ink" which peaked my interest. It turns out that for a bit more than a complete set of new cartridges (£59.99) you can get a device to supply a constant flow of ink to your printer which comes with 15 cartridges worth of ink in it already, is easy to refill (no messing around with refill kits) and can be refilled using bulk ink. After you've bought the system a 500ml refill bottle costs the same as an official Cannon 50ml cartridge (both £10.99) I thought I'd share this with you as I'm confident ways to save a lot of money on everyday things would appeal to everyone. Has anyone already got one of these? If so could they tell me if they notice differences compared to the original cartridges. |
