| Hi All! I just found an article that has some great Adsense tips, but they are not the usual tips that you hear. This person's domain name is "friedbeef" for instance, and they kept getting ads for "chicken noodle soup" but he explains how he changed all that to get ads that are more relevant to his content. He also talks about a plugin that rotates ads for you to reduce "ad blindness" in your readers. There's a lot of great info on this site: Optimize Adsense With 5 Not So Common Tips I'm gonna go back and read it more closely now. Just wanted to pass it along! Tui

| Great article, mentalmosaic. I enjoyed it. Speaking of seldom-spoken Ad Sense advice, I put my first advertisements up on my blog over the weekend, and I'm noticing a definite difference in traffic patterns, despite the common wisom that Ads don't effect traffic. The # of visitors is holding steady, but the bounce rate and time-on-page are less favorable across the board. This is something I'll be tinkering with for the next few weeks, since I cannot afford to scare away potential subscribers at this point in the life cycle of my site. |

| Be careful about placing images around your ads. I believe the TOS has changed a bit since that article was written. Andrew

| ********- go with one of the others that are out there--AccessoryAds.com is one, don't know how good it is but I signed up anyway--it's in with 7Search.com--never dealt with them either so look out for yourself. Another alternative is Affiliates, it's harder 'cause folks have to either sign up for something or buy but the payout is bigger and since you can't get googleads anyway it's worth a try. These work best if you write your own ads but can be worth the extra work. And you can get good ads, you don't have to sign up for those cheezy make a million in one day things. Just take your time in choosing the ones you want. |
