Hi All, I installed the AutoMeta plugin today on my blog & changed my meta tags & description, however, suddenly I notice that my Adsense ads are LESS relevant than they were before! Suddenly all my ads are about "mosaic tiles" & such... Yes, my domain is "mentalmosaic" but my blog is about my adventures in Italy, not mosaic tiles. I am leaving for 2 days & don't have much time to figure this out before I go... Does anyone have experience with this? All input appreciated! Thanks in advance for any advice! Tui |

I am a user of adsense my self and I have noticed that when you make a big change to your site, the ads take some time before they adapt to new content. Give it a couple of days for the spiders to crawl your site and the ads should go back to normal. |

Something else I've noticed on my site is that text ads tend to be relevant, whereas picture ads often are not. For example, an article on anxiety might get text-ads advertising anxiety related products, but picture ads selling a magic 2-seated bicycle or free solar panels. I can only guess at why this is happening -- perhaps it's because the picture ads are more expensive and fewer merchants buy them? |

Thanks so much, everyone! I woke up this morning to discover that the Adsense fairy has sprinkled her magical dust upon my blog (well, all except the about page, but whatever!) The ads are much more relevant. Guess you folks are right - after big changes, you just have to wait! It's so great to have this forum - sometimes I just need to vent! I love your blog, Chet. It's ads seem kinda like an ironic contradiction to the subject matter, sometimes. I saw "anti wrinkle" ads on a post that was commenting on the youth-oriented society we live in. I hope you make tons of money off the ironies! Why not? Thanks again! Tui |
