Does anyone here own a Palm Pilot and if you do, has it done anything for you? It's just that sometimes I get brilliant ideas in my mind, and always have a pen or paper with me and I was wondering if they're better becasue it's all computerized. I usually write on scraps of paper I find in random places. Getting a mini-notebook is not a good thing either because I always forget what page I was on and have to flip through the whole damn thing to find a place to write, etc. So I'm just curious if you've had a personal experience with Palm Pilots.

I used to have one that worked with my bg monitor; I got it thinking I'd have a neat little computer in my pocket to keep all my info straight. But I started becoming a slave it; feeling like I had to log certain info, then I'd have to transfer it all over to my laptop. It pissed me off eventually and I sold it. I operate much more efficiently with a little spiral notebook in my purse than I ever did with the palm. That's just me, though. I'm a little old-fashioned when it comes to have tangible pen and paper. |

I own a palm pilot and I'm happy with my purchase. I use it for the following: -Note taking instead of carrying a pen and paper everywhere -Reading eReader books -Music, occasionally -Searching for quick medical information on my medical dictionary and other medical programs (I'm a medical student). I have not yet maximized the internet/address aspect of the palm yet. |

I have a Dell Axim X30. Technically not a Palm Pilot since it wasn't made by Palm, but that's not important To be honest I haven't incorporated it into my daily use apart for music and audio books. And a good mp3 player would do a much more energy efficient job at that (battery runs out too quickly. Not good for international plane flights. Fine for daily PT runs to and from work) I have used it at various times for note-taking, calendar, crosswords and other mindgames, reading eBooks and as a digital die-roller. My main issue with it is that when it's in it's cover it isn't really pocket-sized, so I can't comfortably carry it around unless I have a bag. |

I have one o' dem newfangled contraptions. I only use mine for the media player and, in the summer, I sit outside with it and post on my blog with the wireless connection. Other than that, though, it's usually just a lump in my pocket that chimes every few hours to remind me of the schedule I set up half a year ago. |

I have a Palm Tungsten/T3... that follows me everywhere... the most important feature as far as I'm concerned is the fact that I can download from Word on my PC anything that I want... So, I have all my notes on Tony Robbins' material along with notes from various other motivational books which can be reviewed anytime and any place that I want... It also contain all my, "Things to do today..." over 2000 addresses and telephone numbers... etc... very handy... . |
