Question I started my blog w/ Blogger :(, please help!!!

I started my blog at Blogger, now realizing I probably shouldn't have done this. Last night I went to GoDaddy.com and purchased the domain name I want.
(I plan on making lots of money with this blog!)
What would you recommend that I do in order to run my blog using the domain name that I purchased?

Thanks everyone!

All in all, I am pretty new at this blogging thing so please take it easy on me!!

I'd find a webhost that offers one click Wordpress installs and set up your blog that way. You can use your domain name, and if you ever want to build out a site beyond a blog it'll be easy. I use Dreamhost, but there's plenty of hosts that offer WordPress functionality

You could just download and install it yourself though...
It isn't hard.

You'll need a host with PHP and MySQL support.
PhpMyAdmin is probably in your control panel, but you could install it to your site(I'll assume you have it)...
You should get some information about usernames/passwords and which sites to use for MySQL, FTP, ect from your host.

For most PHP scripts that need to be installed:
-Use PHPMyAdmin or whatever you use to set up a database. For MyAdmin, type in the database name in the field and click "create". Or remember the name of an existing database.
-Upload the script to your webhost, probably via FTP. I use FileZilla.
-Open your website in your browser and:
-Find something with a name like install.php and load it.
-Or go to the directory where you uploaded the script.
-Or look for index.php or something if it didn't automatically load.
-Follow the directions of the installer.. You'll need to know your MySQL username/password and the name of your database, at least.

Do you just want your domain name to go to your blogger blog, though?

Blogger really limits me with what I can do. I tried placing an ad at the top of my page today and I think it is impossible.

I'd also suggest getting a cheap hosting account and installing wordpress for free.

GoDaddy.com hosting. $3.99 per month, install Wordpress with one click, and you can even import your Blogger blog into Wordpress, also with one click.

Depending on where you purchased the domain, you can be up and running in a few hours. If you purchased the domain with Go Daddy, your new Wordpress blog with all your Blogger posts can be live in less than one hour.

A lot of people hate GoDaddy for whatever reason, but it's really the most practical solution for someone in your situation.
