What are everyone's thoughts on services like BlogCritics.org? For those who don't know about it, it's basically an online magazine that publishes the work of lots of bloggers, and then links back to the original site. I like the idea of my writing being exposed to large audiences, and the potential for getting extra traffic via a link at the bottom of these articles. But I don't like the idea of "giving away" my content so another site receives the benefit of the traffic it may draw - as a full copy is hosted at Blog Critics , no one need follow the link to my blog. Furthermore, the BlogCritics version of my article is likely to rank higher in search ratings than my original, so I may lose traffic this way. |
