Default Animal Testing for Technological Advancement....Are You For Or Against It???

I'm steadfastly against any type of animal testing/experimentation/vivisection/etc whatsoever. My thought is simply this: How can we as a society call ourselves "highly technologicaly advanced" people if we stoop to such low levels such as promoting the intentional suffering and torturing of another species [in this case, animals] ??? Have you seen the videos of PETA undercover investigators??? If you call intentionally slicing kittens heads open and purposefully inducing trauma on a monkey to study the effects of how to save people from car accidents as "legitimate well meaning research" then by all means you need to be shot to death because you have no right to be in this world, muchless reproduce!!! It just makes no sense!!!

Dont tell me you dont know what I am talking about. Im talking about the millions of dollars a year wasted on research that involves animals. There is an alternative we can use to animal testing, albiet my idea is a bit hardcore: We 1. eliminate the death penalty, BUT 2. ALL former "death row" inmates automatically become the guinea pigs (no pun intended) for us to do our research on. The thoughts on that being that in the constitution, protection from "cruel and unusual punnishment" should be a privilege, not a right. Also the thought being that whatever you did that was so henious that put you on death row, you would automatically forfeit protection from the "cruel and unusual punnishment" clause in the constitution. we can also use the same techniques for terrorists.

Of course theres gonna be ppl on death row that swear they are innocent. In those cases, each case of each person who claims to be innocent would automatically have their case reviewed by a special committee in extreme attention to detail. The committees say would be final.

what are your thoughts on it? agree or disagree, but be sure to state your reasons why you agree or disagree.....

I would also be in favor of a perfect world... sadly it is not... we see cruelty in nature... we see it among man... it has been this way since the dawn of time and will remain that way for a long time after we are gone...

In the face of this situation... we are faced with two choices... we can hit our heads against a brick wall... and try to stop it... or focus on other subjects...

I am not being masochistic... I chose the latter...

I am well aware that my POV will be offensive to some people... but, what I see as my mission in life is to try to help people to live a better life... and not how to grow tumors and ulcers...

I am totally opposed to experimenting on animals. There is no justification for murder and torture.

But how will we advance?

We'll find another way.

Prevention is a good start. So many of the problems that science is trying to solve don't even need to exist if people stopped polluting their bodies and the air and destroying the planet and the food supply.

It is not because I am vegan that I am opposed to animal testing. I was opposed to it even when I ate meat. It's just wrong to harm a living being in order to gain for ourselves.

I agree with you but Erin, I have a question for you...

Since youre psychic and everything is there any way you can see in the future to a time where there will be no more experimentation on animals? And if so, what will we use as an alternative to testing on animals in the future...?

I sure would like to hear about it in extreme detail...Im sure everyone here would like to hear about it...

POV = point of view.

I am still working on tuning in to future events. There is more than one outcome here. So many consciousnesses are involved, it's hard to say who will prevail.

I think eventually it will sort itself out. But I wonder what the consequence will be.

I'm not sure. The thought of some of these tests is gross and sickening, but there would be more lives saved in exchange for a few animal lives. Its not nearly on the scale of the meat industry. Of course, that's just a guess, so correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't think scale matters. It's the intention; the willful intention to harm animals to create gains for us. Reminds me of slavery and how a lot of people thought it was okay to subjugate and control a group of people for their own gain. Even one person in slavery is wrong. I don't think the numbers matter.
