Hey guys,

I could use some stumble love for this article (at your discretion, of course):

Jason, I stumbled your article (actually, I stumbled it twice, since the first time was accidentally with my wife's SU account) because I think you have some good ideas there.

If you want that post to stand a better chance of picking up SU steam, here are the changes I'd make:

1) A snappier title that communicates the benefit a reader can expect from reading the article.
2) Keep your first paragraph short (CopyBlogger recommends no more than 2 sentences) and once again, keep it focused on the reader's benefit for investing time enough to read the article.

Good luck, Jason.

Thanks... still working on figuring out how to title articles the most clearly (not just SU, SEO too).

And any comments you feel like posting are more important to me than traffic anyway, though of course the traffic is always welcome

Default Hey

Hey guys. I posted here awhile back, but I've been working on my site a bit more and adding stuff. Could any interested parties please add me as a friend?(profile)DocHolliday2006 and I will reciprocate.

And take a look at my site and my latest article, and, if you like them, stumble them. I'll do the same for you.

Thanks,
-Andrew

Its not a bad idea but the StumbleExchange website is too freakin' slow...at least it has been for me...besides, I'm a lot more likely to reciprocate for others in a forum like this than in some random assortment of links...

I have used stumble upon for a long time and I love it. I didn't know about this exchange program, I'll have to check it out.

I just set up my new site with one article (Small-town Big-shot) so I need a way to get it promoted. If you like it, please "like" it with stumble. =)

Okay guys,

Here are the URLs I've stumbled today:

Ali vs. Inoki revisited
The Prophet's Place--sophisticated diversions for intelligent men
The Power And Peril Of Anger | Lifecrafting
StumbleUpon » Small-town Big-shot

I stumbled a bunch of them a few days ago, but I can't remember which ones at this point. Hopefully you guys have noticed.

Anyway, I truly enjoyed everything I've stumbled thus far, and I could use some help with my latest article, to get it on the radar.

Stumble at Will (please)-->Are You Smarter than a Caveman?

Also, if you guys have stuff you'd like me to consider for stumbling, please post links. I'm having a hard time keeping up with everyone's latest articles, but I do want to help in any way I can.

We're all in this together, as far as I can tell.

Oh, and here's a tip: Stay on the page for a couple of minutes BEFORE you stumble. SU's algorithm knows how long you stayed on the page and adjusts the power of your stumble accordingly.

I've now stumbled

Ali vs. Inoki revisited
The Prophet's Place--sophisticated diversions for intelligent men
Are You Smarter than a Caveman?
Small-town Big-shot

I'll stumble the ones that come up after this as well.

Please take a look at these two Posts:
1) Why You Will Never Reach Happiness
2) Raw For 30 Days: Day #1
and give them a thumbs up if you've enjoyed them.

Thanks.

Consider yourselves stumbled. Except you Prophet, the content filters here won't let me get to your site. But I'll check it out when I get home

I'd appreciate a stumble for my latest post about how our thinking can bias our beliefs.

Jason, both of your links have the same URL. Is that expected?

I'm setting up a website to sell a service. It won't have any articles on it

Can I still use the Stumbleupon service to get traffic to my site or do you suggest I add a blog to the site?

Thx

Any website can be added to Stumbleupon, or any other social bookmarking site. However, you will achieve much more success if you add a blog. From both a search engine optimization standpoint as well as a social bookmarking standpoint, the more pages on your site that people will find useful, the better the chances you will get action from the search engines as well as the social bookmarking sites.

I don't know if anyone is interested in adding a Reddit exchange to our carnival of fun, but if you are, I started a thread here:

I just started a new site and have heard that stumbleupon is a great tool, so this thread is perfect! Plus Ive already added a few new sites to my RSS reader just reading the thread, which makes endorsing the stuff being posted a pleasurable experience.

Anyway, my latest article can be found here: 10 Vice that You Should be Embracing

Stumble it, Digg it, Reddit it, whatever strikes your fancy, and I'll be sure to watch this thread and the new reddit one to do the same for you guys.
