Jason, I stumbled your article (actually, I stumbled it twice, since the first time was accidentally with my wife's SU account) because I think you have some good ideas there. If you want that post to stand a better chance of picking up SU steam, here are the changes I'd make: 1) A snappier title that communicates the benefit a reader can expect from reading the article. 2) Keep your first paragraph short (CopyBlogger recommends no more than 2 sentences) and once again, keep it focused on the reader's benefit for investing time enough to read the article. Good luck, Jason.

And any comments you feel like posting are more important to me than traffic anyway, though of course the traffic is always welcome

Hey guys. I posted here awhile back, but I've been working on my site a bit more and adding stuff. Could any interested parties please add me as a friend?(profile)DocHolliday2006 and I will reciprocate. And take a look at my site and my latest article, and, if you like them, stumble them. I'll do the same for you. Thanks, -Andrew |

I have used stumble upon for a long time and I love it. I didn't know about this exchange program, I'll have to check it out. I just set up my new site with one article (Small-town Big-shot) so I need a way to get it promoted. If you like it, please "like" it with stumble. =) |

Okay guys, Here are the URLs I've stumbled today: Ali vs. Inoki revisited The Prophet's Place--sophisticated diversions for intelligent men The Power And Peril Of Anger | Lifecrafting StumbleUpon » Small-town Big-shot I stumbled a bunch of them a few days ago, but I can't remember which ones at this point. Hopefully you guys have noticed. Anyway, I truly enjoyed everything I've stumbled thus far, and I could use some help with my latest article, to get it on the radar. Stumble at Will (please)-->Are You Smarter than a Caveman? Also, if you guys have stuff you'd like me to consider for stumbling, please post links. I'm having a hard time keeping up with everyone's latest articles, but I do want to help in any way I can. We're all in this together, as far as I can tell. Oh, and here's a tip: Stay on the page for a couple of minutes BEFORE you stumble. SU's algorithm knows how long you stayed on the page and adjusts the power of your stumble accordingly. Consider yourselves stumbled. Except you Prophet, the content filters here won't let me get to your site. But I'll check it out when I get home I'd appreciate a stumble for my latest post about how our thinking can bias our beliefs. |

Any website can be added to Stumbleupon, or any other social bookmarking site. However, you will achieve much more success if you add a blog. From both a search engine optimization standpoint as well as a social bookmarking standpoint, the more pages on your site that people will find useful, the better the chances you will get action from the search engines as well as the social bookmarking sites.

I don't know if anyone is interested in adding a Reddit exchange to our carnival of fun, but if you are, I started a thread here: Drive Free Traffic to Your Site with Reddit! |

I just started a new site and have heard that stumbleupon is a great tool, so this thread is perfect! Plus Ive already added a few new sites to my RSS reader just reading the thread, which makes endorsing the stuff being posted a pleasurable experience. Anyway, my latest article can be found here: 10 Vice that You Should be Embracing Stumble it, Digg it, Reddit it, whatever strikes your fancy, and I'll be sure to watch this thread and the new reddit one to do the same for you guys. |

So I click the thumbs up for stumble everytime I write an article. Since July 7th I have written about 7 articles and about 3-4 pages, and some other content. I have had about 90% of my traffic coming from stumble (about 5% from this site) for a total of about 5000 visitors in the 10 days it was open. 2000 of those visitors were because my article about the US made so much controversy in the stumble community that it hit the popular section for Politics on SU. I got loads of good and bad reviews, it was interesting. I also gained about 10 fans. So SU really does bring traffic to your site, but to get the most, you should have a good article. I find that controversy brings many visitors =) Unfortunately, only one person clicked my ad :'( |

Sorry about the mix up, I was copying and pasting and I must not have gotten one copied properly. Anyway, I have a few new articles, if anyone is interested, and I have a new site I'm working on, that I would appreciate some feedback on the idea behind it. So first, here's what it is. I started writing a novel one little piece at a time a while ago, a fantasy novel about a man fighting demons (literally, in this case). However, I can only write so much (I have about 40 pages written, in book format) on my own... I'm not sure where to expand in order to make it longer and more interesting. So what I've done is create a blog, www.HelpWriteMyStory.com, where I'm going to be posting it one piece at a time, and using peoples' comments on each piece to decide where it's going and where to add more detail, etc. The first couple of pieces are already on there, and you can get a tiny bit of a feel for my writing style. Do any of you read that type of book, do any of you have any feedback on the idea behind it, and, do any of you feel like commenting on it (on the site that is) or spreading the word? I really think this could end up with a great novel, which will remain free online once it is done, in addition to (hopefully) getting published in a real book format. So, here's the site again: Help Write My Story And here are a few of my more interesting recent posts on my blog: Stuck In A Rut - 7 Ways To Kick Your Life In The Butt The Power Of Touch Expand Your Ability To Communicate |

I very rarely get any comments on any of my posts... is it something about my posts, a problem with my comment form, or do StumbleUpon users (who are the vast majority of my paltry traffic) simply not comment? And if it's that last, where are my comments from you guys? You obviously comment... you're on this thread! |

You guys are too fast! I tried to stumble 'The Imagined Tyranny of Others' Doc Holliday but someone beat me to it. Anyway it was a good article. I just finished my first (of many hopefully) 30 day trial and I wrote up a conclusion about it here: Exercise Challenge - Conclusion at Scrowed If someone thinks its worthy of a stumble I would be very appreciative! |
