Default How I Got to 3000 Visits a Day and 2200 RSS Subscribers in 6 Months

For all the interested bloggers out there, I just posted a list of the 27 most important lessons I've learned in my first 6 months of blogging. A lot of it I learned from Steve, so it certainly isn't all ground breaking, but there is definitely some new stuff in there too.

I hope you find it useful.

Hey, thanks everybody for the support. The first 6 months have been great and I look forward to many more. I definitely owe a lot to Steve. Before I found his blog I didn't see the potential the internet has for writers.

Surprisingly sound advice you gave there.

I rarely read blogs because I feel like they often offer rehashed material or are just too gimmicky (ririan project, *cough cough*). I especially get bored of personal development blogs because books are so much better for that stuff (Steve's site is an exception since his content is so original).

But after reading your post I decided to browse a few other of your articles and was surprised by your honesty and general quality -- keep it up.

Default Great Tips

I like your tips. I may post a link from my Adsense Blog if you don't mind. I like your tip about how it can take 2 to 3 years to start making money. I have been at this about that long and I'm just starting to get good returns. I think patience is a key many don't understand. A few sites will explode from day one, but most will take love and time. Starting a Web site is like planting a tree. It takes extra time and care early on to realize the full potential later.
