Is it possible for me to have my own blog but NOT be web savvy. Like, I have no idea how to do all the computer stuff; I only took HTML in high school and that is about as far as my web design knowledge goes. I mean, I can type fairly fast and I know how to work a computer just not design a website. I want to blog but I don't know how to make the site. I know how to write. Is it possible for me to just be able to write on my blog without knowing how to do all the computer stuff since I'm only knowledgeable in HTML. Thanks!

Keep it simple. Start with Blogger (www.blogger.com) and in a couple of months if you realize this is something you want to continue and expand on, move over to a more powerful platform.
I have met people -- including myself -- who have spent days or even weeks setting up their websites and blogs, and when they finally start blogging, they realize it's not something they really want to do.
I also like writing, and I am very opinionated, but I don't like the commitment of having my own blog. It's like having a dog. If you don't feed it often, it will die. And what is the use of having a dead dog (or dead blog)? There are already millions of dead blogs on the web.
With Blogger you can actually have a post up in a few minutes, and after a few days or weeks you will know if that's something you really want to pursue.
Good luck, and let us know your blog address!

You can try blogger.com or wordpress.com ... try out blogging first. Then get your own URL, also pretty easy. If you still want to blog on your own space, then finding hosting later on. Don't make it too complicated, it detracts from blogging!

You've learnt some HTML? Well your one step ahead of me and I think I have managed to put together a decent blog.
I began with Blogger which is free and easy to use. Like Elenny, I would recommend starting with this.
I now use Wordpress which has many advantages over blogger, but can quite fiddly for beginners.
Oh, and another vote for Dreamhost if you are looking to register a domain/ host your blog.
