Default How to backup your threads

In view that the forum may close down, I was wondering what are the ways to backup your threads. One way I can think of is save pages as MHT (there is a firefox extension for that.) Any other ideas?

There are cached pages in Google so long as the spiders keep trying to access the forums, and there is the Wayback Machine which is an Internet archiver.

Yes, that's what I thought. It does not back up everything.

What is MHT? How to do that? Could you, please, explain it in more detail?

When you save a web page as MHT, it saves everything including the graphics. So later when you read it, it's almost as if you are reading it online.

If you use Firefox, this extension is very useful for this.

Thank you, Cacheborne. I didn't have enough time for Technology and Technical Skills forum. Do you know any other forum like this? I want to publish a book online, but I have no idea where to go and what to start with. Planned to ask my questions here...

What kind of forums are you looking for. For self publishing there is a good blog with lot of info.

Thank you for the link.
But if I have questions where can I ask them?

For writer of all levels there is a forum. It's quite huge, maybe even bigger than this one. But you will get lots of info there.

Backstreet Browser (free!) allows you to download an entire site, or just sections of one. I've used it to download a few sites that I really enjoy but which I've thought might disappear from the net (so far, they haven't, but the web is ephemeral).

BackStreet Browser - Offline Browser, Download Entire WebSite at High Speed!

I wouldn't try to download the entire forum here, though, unless you've got unlimited and very fast bandwidth and a pretty grunty machine with a lot of open drive space. 1million+ posts is a lot of bandwidth and a lot of storage space!

I don't think I have that much bandwidth. I will only copy some of my threads.
