I LOVE IT! Google has a PR of 10. Who would have guessed?! Ebay is at an 8, Steve Pavlina a 6, and Wikipeida a 9. Yahoo is a 9. Thanks Google, I needed a laugh today.

They had to anchor the algorithm with something I'm pretty sure they are the only 10.

I think so. I have never seen any other PR 10 site, not even country specific Google sites like Google.com.co

The page rank is basically a calculation of how likely a random person browsing the internet will end up on the website or web page that holds the ranking.

Since Google.com is the most-visited website in the world, it makes sense that they would have a higher score than anyone else.

One way backlinks from reasonable quality sites.
PR5 ~100,000 - 150,000 backlinks from my personal experience. Nothing to do with traffic or content.

Your numbers are way, way overkill.

I have a PR4 site with about 20-50 backlinks. It made it into PR4 in about 3 months.

Backlinks, while a key factor and very important, are part of a whole, and are not everything.

Agree. You likely have decent content on your site.
100k backlinks was needed to rank 1-page site with no content for $10/click keywords and 80M competing pages on the first page.

Remember, that as much as the number of back links counts... the second ingredient of back links is that... they have to be consistent.

If you post 1000 backlinks to your site in 1 day, it is not the same as:

Posting 1 link to your site every day for 1000 days

The latter is much more valuable to Google.
