PHP salaries seem to vary quite widely - there are a lot of entry level positions that use PHP (more than say Java, for example). Entry level in a web design house (as opposed to software shop) is probably around 40k AUD. I have a friend who is a senior PHP dev for a big company and he's getting 75k+ (AUD) ... this is toward the top of the programming range regardless of language. Hourly rates vary with experience from about $30 - $75. I charge $50-75 depending on the work. All AUD, your local currency may vary. |
