Okay. This is a crazy idea of mine I have just come up with that just may be crazy enough to work!!! As we all know, there are a ton of people here who either have websites of their own, or would like to promote a website or websites of their liking. Many people here including me have managed to do this partly by advertising our websites in our signatures. Signature website advertising, while an excellent idea, may create confusion. I will tell you why I think this way. Since this forum is extremely popular with I dont know how many people here that are registered and post daily on this site, for someone wanting to check out someone elses website, they would have to thumb through quite a few people's signatures just to find the site they wanted. What in essence I am trying to say is lets make it easier and make a list of EVERY website that someone wants to promote, so that it will be easier to find because it will be all in one place. Here's how it will work: It will be a numbered list. Each person that wants to promote their websites that interest them will post next. ONE NUMBER PER WEBSITE. There is NO LIMIT to how many websites a person can promote. EACH WEBSITE MUST BE LINKED USING THE "INSERT LINK" FEATURE ON THE FORUM. (That way all a person has to do is point and click to get to the other persons website) When reposting the list all one must do is copy and paste the list of websites as a whole, with their website on the last added number. There will be no need to copy and paste the paragraphs I have written. feel free to write a brief description of your website if you want to... try to use "size 4" when posting your website for promotion on the list.... Here...I Will Start: 1. http://www.VetTechJess.com/ --My website about the animal field!! 2. 3. Last edited by VetTechJess; 05-04-2007 at 05:59 PM. |

| I don't think this was intentional. Reposting lists of links without content is a classic strategy of link spammers ... it's a technique best avoided in case sites involved get blacklisted. But I think this idea is dangerously close to spam, if not actually spam ... I am not sure what value reposting a list of links is meant to have to the user, and it is basically seems like link bait to me. I am going to close off the thread. |
