Hey guys, This is not so much a problem, but more of a challenge to overcome... I'm re-branding at the moment, that means everything, website, Facebook, twitter, business cards, designs, flyers, advertising, you name it, I'm doing it! Here is my Facebook Fanpage: London Dating Coach - The Official Page | Facebook You will see that I have over 4,800 likes. I've tried to change the name of the fanpage but I can't see how this is possible? I no longer wish to be known as the London Dating Coach as I'm taking my coaching business global and out of London. So this London dating coach name doesn't fit my brand model of 'TopDatingCoach' - does anyone know how I can solve this problem? I don't really want to start from scratch again with zero likes but it looks like I may have to if I want my new branding to be in synch... This is what my friend calls a high quality problem! |

You can't change it if you have over 100 fans |

If you think about, it, from the side of the fan of the group, allowing you to change the name would let you change it to something the current fans might no longer be fans of. I could see someone using this maliciously. In the same situation with a page that needs a name change, but understand why. |

'TopDatingCoach' sounds rather banal. "London Dating Coach" sounds classy, smart and exquisite . Think "Kentucky Fried Chicken" better than "Top Fried Chicken" I think FB did it that way so that ppl can decide what they like for themselves. What if I "liked" ducks and then the admin changed the name to "duck liver pate" ! That could cause trouble... Last edited by danas; 08-28-2011 at 06:25 AM. | |

Being FB developer myself, I doubt FB would bend such fundamental rules, but yes, you never know. changing the names of FB Groups was widely used in the past maliciously, so thats why. Create new fan page, ask your fans to like it,try to use some incentive if they like your new fan page(some sort of free gift) |

Stick with the name, it's way better than many other alternatives. It gives you some personality, as we all know your origin. Just a small note from someone who have been in the dating niche before: Get a camera and a friend, and go get some kiss closes in street within 5 minutes. A danish guy did that, and he went pretty big in Denmark - as the only who actually showed some proof in Denmark. If you make loads of videos like that, you actually have proof. Something very few "PUA's" have. |
