During the past several months I have been starting new websites. My plan is to create a number of pretty decent quality resources on all kinds of subjects. For example, a while ago I started Website Homework, a website about buildings sites which is now getting 150 unique daily visitors and generates 10 web design leads per day. My other sites include Authentic Society (featuring over 100 articles on various subjects), which is also an interest-based social network! My other site which is probably the most popular one is Fallout Software, where I published several OpenGL tutorials a very long time ago (this site receives 1,000 daily visitors now in traffic that is, unfortunately, nearly impossible to monetize with AdSense). So, my new website is Starcraft Homework: Starcraft 2 - Free Strategy Guide to Help You Improve your Strategy, Build-Orders and Unit Control (SC2, ii) It's about getting better at playing Starcraft 2. The highlight achievement of this site is the layout, which allows me to do quite a few things without making the main content appear to be cluttered. Some of the decisions were influenced by StevePavlina.com For a long period of time I have been thinking about how to create an ideal website in terms of layout, navigation and SEO, but at the same time keep the writing quality on par with the design. In other words I am looking for overall quality of my work in all aspects that appear to be important. While it is still a work in progress, I think I am getting much closer to my goal. One day I plan on creating a "Content Publisher" system which will allow me to publish a new article to one of the domains in my global network of websites. This content publisher will submit the site into the proper database, and automatically update the site with this new content. In addition it will automatically update Twitter, Facebook and FeedBurner accounts all with a click of one "Publish" button. At that point my plan is to simply use this Content Publisher to keep on publishing new content to any given website. For example, one day I could be in the mood for writing about Starcraft, another day I will feel inspired to write about Creative Writing, how to drive traffic to a website or how Adsense or search engines work, etc. So, take what you can from it, and let me know what your thoughts are. Right now, all of the websites in my network are making $600 per month and I think by the end of this year I will be able to reach $1,300, which is the amount of my total monthly living expenses right now.
