Default Arh! My website- I need help!!!!

1. The "Articles & Videos" page is not showing the long list of articles. Only the code [clean my archives] is showing.

2. It's the same on the forum page. The forum is not showing, only the code [mingleforum] where the forum is meant to be.

3. Also, the 5 star rating up the top of the home page doesn't seem to be there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4. Also, at the bottom of some pages there is a "1 2 3 4 5" thing you can click on - I have no idea what this is or how it got on these pages?

Does anyone know how I could fix this?

SO grateful for help to fix these issues and get everything back to normal!!!!!!!

I have been so upset and hyper panicked.

Hello Emily.

1. I can see the list of articles

2. I can also see the forum

3. Not sure what that is.

May be you are using an older browser or you've already fixed the problem, whatever it was. The website seems to be working fine for me.

I don't see the forum, just mingleboard, whatever that is.
I don't see the articles, just a bunch of things that say [clean-my-archives]

I would recommend disabling all your plugins. I'm pretty sure a lot of them are not compatible with your wordpress installation.

Your website is pretty messy. If I were you, I would re-do the entire website and just keep the posts and articles. The content, articles, and navigation is really unorganized, which makes it hard for new visitors to find things.

Also, because there is a lot of things on every page (the two mixpod players, the FOUR twitter discussions) the pages take a long, long time to load, which would discourage some visitors and make them leave.

You need to take away a lot of "extras" and "add-ons." Keep plug-ins to a minimum. Right now your blog is like a computer with too many programs running on it at the same time. It's not good for the page loading or the visitors.

I'll be happy to help you with your wordpress if you want. I'm a student with nothing better to do and I like working on websites as a side hobby.

Thanks for your help. Right now I just want the articles page to work listing all the articles and the forum to show up. I could probably remove the twitter feeds. I know there's some messy stuff in the sidebar at the moment which was an accident.
I'd prefer to not remove the mixpod players if I don't have to.

Do you know how I can get the articles page working again listing all the articles and the forum page to show the forum?

You think I need to disable and reenable these plugins?

Is there a way to get the forum showing again without deleting all the forums data, for example there is 400 posts or so made in the forum and I would prefer to not lose all these contributions from people in the forum.

That is so strange. I've tried on 3 different computers and they're not working for me. That would be great if it was only my problem lol

Is that theme one you built?

You could try adding a right side bar in to balance some stuff - Like moving your Word cloud type thing to the right hand-side ( I would increase the overall layout width if you add in a right sidebar)

I am looking at it in Fire Fox 5 and the left sidebar is hugely long. I didn't check in IE or the others yet.

Do you have an option in your widgets to reduce the amount of items displayed in your cd recommendations and popular posts?

If you have the bottom widget-ized ( as in three horizontal segments) you could move your twitter, facebook and meetup stuff down there.

Try disabling every plugin and see if it shows up. If it does, re-enable them one by one and see which one makes them go away.

Everything is fixed! I just tried deleting a couple of plugins I had recently installed - they must have caused the other plugins to not work!

What a relief!
