Default Adobe InDesign for Beginners

I need to learn Adobe InDesign for my work. I know zilch about it and have never used Adobe Photoshop either. I will be using InDesign to create high school math materials.

Can anybody suggest resources for total InDesign newbs?

Hello Kablooey. Do you know about Lynda.com? They've got excellent video tutorials on tons of softwares.

I think Microsoft Word is fine too for stuff like high school material. It will be much simpler to to get good at. And you are probably familiar with the basics.

That website looks awesome. Thanks!

MS Word has proven to be a giant pain for what I want to do for a few reasons:
  • I'm not making traditional materials. My stuff is much more granular and has far more scaffolding.
  • I want to make an entire textbook with solutions manuals.
  • I need the "global controls" of a more sophisticated program.
