Basically, I have an idea to make a website for a camping place in Lithuania, because they have a good place but zero internet exposure and people can't find them. I don't know much about SEO (read:nothing). How do I see what exact keywords people type in in google when they're looking for campings? Okay people, I realize that's not the most tech savvy question in this section, but I made some progress from "I just installed wordpress, how do I log in???" Thank you! |

You can type in keywords and see what relevant keywords other people in your niche are looking for. But there are better tools out there like Keyword Samurai, Travis Traffic, and Keyword Spy. I use Traffic Traffic (free), Market Samurai (paid), and the free Google tool when I want to do research. Also, look into the Keyword Academy if you want to learn how to market niche sites. One thing though, I believe the keyword academy is really great if you're going to use Adwords. I don't use Adwords and sell my own services, so I can't vouch personally for the Keyword Academy but have read really good reviews about it. You know, let me sign up for the free trial myself so I can write my own testimonial! |

First go to the Google keyword tool: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal Type in a root keyword (like camping, or camping in New Zealand) and you will get related results. Then, in the left side menu choose [Exact] instead of Broad or [Phrase]. You will get more accurate results using the exact search. Play with the tool and you will get used to it in no time. When you ahev chosen some keywords to target go to Google Insights For Search: Google Insights for Search Enter your keywords there and you can see the tendencies related to the keyword. You can sort results for a period of time (last week, last month , since 2000, etc), and for a specific region. Let me know if you have more questions. |
