I have recently learned of a isreali inventor who is inventing a breathing apparatus that removes the air (including nitrogen) from water. I would like to create something like it and was wondering about one of the processes. Is it possible to release free floating gasses from water by compressing it. And if so if you know of a small air compressor that would work.

Um, I was under the impression water was comprised of hydrogen and oxygen (h2O) where do you get nitrogen from?
