Default Designing a Sales Page

I have noticed many websites are essentially single-page sales pages for their product.

I am planning on writing an ebook and would like to create a similar site. What program would I use to do so? Where can I learn the basics or steps to creating such a site?

Thanks pavbros and pavsisses.

If you study a lot of the good sales pages out there, you will start to see a formula they all follow. This is what you have to do for your own sales page.

If you mean, how do you make the site, just set up a wordpress site like the one in your sig. Then create two pages, called "Blog" and "Front."

Go to Settings -> Reading, and select "Static Page", then set front page to "Front" and blog page to "Blog."

Then Find a theme which is suitable for your sales page using the Appearance -> Themes -> Install New and doing some searches.

Then you can write the sales page on your "Front" page.

Then install the Yoast SEO plugin to help you optimse the page for search.

Then sign up with eJunkie, for $5 per month they will handle your payment processing, give you the "buy now" button.

Then copy and paste the buy now button code onto your sales page.

Done!

If you mean how to write the sales page, take clint's advice and copy the basic idea of other peoples. You can also sign up at Google Web Optimizer which will let you do an A/B split test of different sales pages you write up, so you can see what works best.
