Im trying to update my ipod touch software and itunes does a backup of my ipod. I let it run for about half the day and it didn't even get close to 50% is this normal? on average how long does it take to back up the ipod? my ipod is an 8Gb i have used about 4Gb. im trying to do this on a computer i just authorized yesterday. has this happened to anyone? or is it just a normal thing. i would appreciate any help because im completely lost thanks |

It's not normal. My ipod 64gig take maybe 3 minutes with about 9gigs of data on it and my ipad takes 1-2 minutes but there's not much data on it (this is for backups). For updating software it could take longer due to the many variables involved, download speed, server traffic, etc... But not 6 hours long typically. Have you tried a google search on your problem? |

Like Lil Chris said there is definitely a problem with your iPod. Updates should take no longer than a few minutes. I doubt it is the GB usage. 4GB open storage is more than decent. I have less than a GB remaining on my iPhone
