 |  Ubuntu and cricket's ec1705 modem
I wanted to pass this tip along , I got it off the Ubuntu forum, and did not think it would work. If you want to use crickets ec1705 modem with Umbutu set the user name to yourphonenumber@mycricket ((623)xxxxxxx@mycricket.com) and the password is cricket . desert rat

The same method works for Linux Mint Main Page - Linux Mint I am runing it as a live cd as I type this post . I dont know if I will replace Ubuntu that I run from my hard drive , but it looks perty cool . For all the non Linux people , you can down load a i.s.o. immage , burn it to a cd or dvd and set your computer to boot form the cd or dvd drive , and run Linux from that drive with out installing it. You can also buy a disk for a few bucks, form an on line vendor. desert rat
