Exclamation website server problems...I NEED ADVICE!!!

hello,

I recently signed up to a server through someone I know. She had just bought the server and is studying Information Technology so she has alot of knowledge so far. hell, she has even built up her own network complete with chat!

The only problem is the server she just now bought. it runs $99 per month for her and she charges me $4 per month for webhosting. Like all new servers, the kinks must be worked out first. I understand that.

She is frustrated with the situation as well.

what should I do? should I go to co-hosting? (or whatever the term is called for when a website is hosted on multiple servers)???

Thanks,

If your website is a necessary part of your business, income or business life, nothing other than reliable, stable, professional hosting service will do.

If you don't need your web presence to be any of the above then proceed helping your friend establish the business.

Why don't you just get your site live for now and see how the reliability of her server goes. If it gets to the point that there is a little too much down-time or the server cripples under a high load then its not difficult to quickly switch to shared-hosting.

Just support your friend for now....but if it doesn't work out, decide on your options when the time comes.
