I'd like to sell CPM ad space on a site I own directly to advertisers. Through doing some preliminary research I've read that it's fairly standard for the publisher to set up an account for the advertiser to track the ad impressions and to let them see how their ad is doing. Is this right? How would a smallish site go about setting about these kinds of accounts for advertisers? If you don't use them then how do you track how many impressions an ad has received? Is it a matter of using certain software or signing up with a company that will do it for you? |
