I played Starcraft way way way back in the day for a couple of months but quit because it was taking too much time. I saw a link on digg I think the other day about Blizzard launching a beta version by the end of this year of Starcraft 2? Can anybody confirm? |

As for Starcraft 2, I think you’ll see Diablo 3 before you see that game. And I think you’ll see World of Starcraft or World of Diablo before you see Diablo 3 (the MMO business model is vastly superior in terms of reaching a large audience and raking in tons of cash... and no, as far as I know, World of Starcraft/Diablo are not in production... although Gamespot.com had a pretty convincing Starcraft related April fools joke once, but I digress). Blasphemy! | |

Blizzard strongly implied at WOW:TBC launch that we'd have some sort of announcement about SC2 in 2007. I was disappointed by WC3, and I hope they do a better job this time around. 1) Better story (Invading "army" consists of...5 demons) 2) Better graphics 3) Big armies 4) Get rid of the heroes in multiplayer 5) Make the races completely different 6) Add naval battles. We never got oil patches in WC3. WC2 had land, air, and sea. |
